4. Being Saved and Having Eternal Life:
If you can understand the true meaning of Trinity, then you can understand another important question i.e. the difference between being saved and having eternal life. These two aspects are related to each other, but also differs from each other. If somebody is saved, does he necessarily have eternal life ? Many people do not have a clear understanding. Somebody said "yes, just like a worm on tree, one day this worm will eventually becomes a beautiful butterfly". Some other people said "by raising your hand to show your faith and getting baptized, you finished all procedures of being saved, just like you got a passport to Heaven." Some other people said "pious Christians take first class and the lukewarm Christians take economy class. They all go to Heaven. When they arrive Heaven, much the same for both pious and lukewarm Christians." Christians with this opinion are very great in numbers. They care very little about their spiritual life growth, they are very reluctant to church activities.
Here let us repeat once more about what is being saved and how, because it is very important. Being saved is that Holy Spirit comes into your heart and dwells there, then your name is written on the book of life in Heaven. This is also called re-born. A re-born Christian is a true Christian. As for how to get this. First you have to admit you are a sinner and accept Jesus as your saviour by doing an entry prayer as shown on Part 2 If you believe in your heart and confess in your mouth, you will surely be saved and Holy Spirit will come into your heart. In Calatians 6:8 "he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life." From this verse you can be sure, once you are saved you will reap eternal life. Holy Spirit is a seed, a living seed, and eternal life is in this seed. In 1 Peter 1:23 "For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable seed, through the living and eduring word of God" Though this seed came to the earth about 2000 years ago, it is still living and still have eternal life in it.. But for an individual, he is supposed to do all the farm work such as watering, fertilizing and weeding to cultivate this seed. when the seed takes root, grows up and bears fruits, then he reaps the harvest i.e. the eternal life. If he is lazy to do all farm work and reaps nothing. Who is to blame ? The seed or himself. You can answer by yourself.
In the four Gospels of New Testament, Jesus did His teaching in parables. Jesus did not explain the parables except one that is parable of sower. Jesus explain by himself. It is obvious this is the most important parable. It is written on Matthew 13:11; Mark 4:3 and Luke 8:4. In Matthew 13:11 Jesus said this is the secrets of Kindom. Such an important parable is always neglected by churches and Christians. Why ? Because they have no idea how to explain "bear no fruit" in one of the cases.
If you can understand Trinity in the way as explained above, you can answer this question what is "bear no fruit". It means having no eternal life. What does it mean for a saved person without eternal life ? Does it mean go back to Hell ? What situiation it will be ?
Normally when a non-believer confesses his sins and accepts Jesus as his saviour by doing an entry prayer, he is saved and Holy Spirit Cmforter will surely come to his heart. You can feel this happening. Somebody moves in heart and others break into tears. Everybody is different. Meanwhile in Heaven your name is written in the book of life. In the time to come, the first important thing for a believer is to pray twice a day, as shown in Part 2,this can be compared to spiritual breathe. Reading Bible is always compared to spiritual food, and attending Sunday worship or fellowship is compared to spiritual warming. Just like a single piece of burning charcoal is very easy to cool down, but many pieces of burnig charcoal can keep burning for long long time. So Christians should be in group just like sheeps in group cared by a shepherd. Church pastor is a shepherd, explaining Bible truth to Christians every Sunday service. Under this condition the spiritual life in a Christian can grow up and he can understand Bible better and better. He dares to acknowledge Jesus in public His behaviour get better, distances himself from sinful things and likes to help people and lead them to Christ. All this is his fruit and is recorded in the book of life in Heaven as evidence for Judge..
There is another group of Christians. They also did entry prayer and are saved. Holy Spirit is also in their heart, but they do not pray regularly and rarely read Bible and go to church. The new life or spiritual life in their heart does not have enough spiritual food. So the spiritual life cannot grow up and is too weak to change their bad behaviour. They compromise themselves with evil and even unlawful things. They dare not accknowledge Jesus in public. All this is also wriiten in the book of life in Heaven.
When Grace Times is over and Church is lifted from earth. All Christians, no matter good or bad, will meet Jesus Christ in heaven and Judge begins. The Judge focuses on two things: your behaviour and your work for Christ. If Jesus say "ok" to you, then you become a victorious Christian and receive reward prepared for you..
Jesus opens the book of life to judge one by one. In Revelation 3:5 "He who overcomes will be dressed in white. I will never blot out his name from the book of life." What is the meaning between lines ? For all bad Christians, their names are to be blotted out from the book of life and they do not have white dress to put on. In Revelation 20:15 "If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire." Lake of fire is Hell. All bad Christians have their name in the book of life, so they will not be put into the lake of fire, so they will endure second death but no hell fire suffering.
For some even worse Christians, committing crime such as bribery, corruption, smuggling etc. do they also go second death without suffering ? The answer is No. In Matthew 13:41 "Son of Man will send angles, and they will gather out of his kindom all causes of sin and all evildoers, and throw them into the furnace of fire; there men will weep and gnash their teeth." What is "all causes of sin" in the above verse ? In society, there are such Christians, doing evil, his evildoing makes.other people turn away from Christ. This kind evil doing Christians are to be put into a furnace of fire to be cleansed. Jesus blood on Cross can cleanse your sins, which is based on people's conscience, but does not cleanse your crime, which is based on social law. Crime should be treated by law. What is "furnace of fire" in the verse ? Furnace of fire is a place in Heaven to cleanse bad Christians with crime. In John 3:5 "Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kindom of God." Here water means baptizing and Spirit is new life. So the evildoers in God's kindom are all baptized and have Holy Spirit in their heart.
When Jesus finished Judge from the book of life, many names in this book of life are blotted out, so the book of life becomes Lamb's book of life. In Revelation 21:27 "Nothing impure will enter....., but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life." Lamb means Jesus. Where to enter in the above verse ? To New Jerusalem descending from Heaven (Rev.21:2). How many Christians can enter New Jerusalem, About a half of all Christians can enter New Jerusalem, another half will go second death, some without suffering and some with suffering in the furnace of fire.
Where does "a half" come from ? In Matthew 25 : 1-14. Parable of Ten Virgins The bridegroom is Jesus. By reason the one waiting for bridegroom should be the bride. But here bride does not appear, and let ten virgins to replace the bride. The purpose of this is to show the exact percentage of Christians who can get eternal life and enter New Jerusalem .Ten virgins represent all Christians good and bad. Five virgins having oil in their lamps represent good Christians. Oil means Holy Spirit; lamps with oil can shine. Christians will Spirit leading their life can be light shinig around. Other five virgins with no oil in their lamp represent Christians with no Spirit strenth leading their life and live in dark. They are locked out of door. Just as Mathew 22:14"For many are invited, but few are chosen" Exactly speaking ten are invited, but only five are chosen. The chosen one can get Jehovah God's Spirit and have eternal life.:
After having eternal life what is the next ? According to how much work on earth you did for God, there are equivalent harvest in Heaven stored for you. In Matthew 13:23 "..He produces a crop, yielding hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown." Here the harvest or crop means a measured quantity of Jehovah God's Spirit. The more you receive ,the more bright is your white gown. In Matthew 13:43 "the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father." In 1 Corinthians 15:41 "the sun has one kind of splendor, and the moon another and the stars another; and stars differs from star in splendor." This verse is just the description of the white gowns with different splendor. This white gowns should be paid for, not free. How to pay ? The work on earth you did for God.
In Revelation 2:7 "To him who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life." And look at Genesis 3:22 "He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever." Every living being, including God, must eat something. What to eat ? The fruit from the tree of life. This fruit is not free for everybody, but requires the authority to eat. If you have the authority to eat this fruit, then you can live forever,i.e. eternal life.
What else to be rewarded ? You might take a good read of Bible to find the answer, especially Revelation. Besides white gown, there are crown and throne. Crown indicates glory and throne indicates power. Sometime we do not understand the application of the reward. But when time comes, everything is clear. The more you plant, the more you will reap. This is very true.
