2. Dinity (Two-in-One-Unity) on Earth:
The term "Trinity" was originated from Christianity, but in the sociaty it is also well known. Trinity means Three in One Unity. What is Three in One Unity ? Tninity refers to Holy Father, Holy Son and Holy Spirit. As to how the three in one unity, there is no unified answer. Even in Christian churches there are controversial explanations.
The term "Trinity" never appears in Bible. But strangely it is so extensively spread all over the world. The reason is that the Christians in early ages made thorough study of Bible and realized the three is in one unity, but they did not pass on how they made this conclusion. The term Trinity refers to God. If God had not agreed with this term, this term Trinity would never have been passed on from gerernation to generation. So the later day Christians have to find out how the early age Christians made this conclution.
Somebody compared Trinity to a tree, the three were compared to tree root, tree trunk and leaves. the three parts are in one unity. Some other people compared Trinity to water; the three parts are liquid water, water steam and iced water. Some other people said my wife looks me as a husband; my son looks me as father and my father looks me as a son. but I am only the one of myself. That is Trinity.: Some other people said Father, Son and Holy Spirit are constantly changing their figures; Father changes into Son and Son changes into Holy Spirit amd Holy Spirit changes into Father. But Bible says God is unchanged God. Somebody quoted large numbers of Bible verses to explain Trinity. These quotatios are far from convincing, but make people more confusing.
At last somebody shouted to stop arguing about Trinity, because it is too difficult to explain. More argue more confusion, let us put this way that Trinity is God's mystery, it is not for the world people to discuss. What a good mystery! In Colossians 1:26-28 "the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but now it is disclosed to the siants. To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory." and in Ephesians 3:6 "This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members of one body, and shares together in the promise in Christ Jesus." Look! the long hidden mystery has been disclosed, what else can not be disclosed at the end of this grace times?
In fact, the explanation of Trinity is already in Bible. Bible made clear explanation of Trinity, and gave example for better understanding. This is the well known relationship of husband and wife. This is a two-in-one-unit model. If people can thoroughly understand the relationship of husband and wife, then people can easily understand Trinity.
Let us shelve Trinity for the time being and study the relationship of husband and wife. In Genesis 2:24 "For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and become one flesh." In Matthew 19:5 "So they(husband and wife) are no longer two, but one" From these verses people can conceive that husband and wife are a two-in-one-unit. But what does this really mean ?
Let us look at this case. A pair of husband and wife married for many years. They have son and daughter. The husband is a professor and has very good income. The wife is a nursary teacher and makes a modest income. When the pair go travel, the husband takes first class seat and the wife takes third class seat. When the train arrives the station, they come to meat each other. Now do you think they are two-in-one- unit.? From our common sense, people can realize husband and wife should share what he/she owns. In another word, all husband owns also belong to wife, all wife owns also belong to husband. This common ownership is the true meaning of two-in-one unit.
For many families in our modern society, husband and wife each has a private bank account. home expenses are split to each. Or some home expenses are to be paid by husband and other home expenses are carried by wife. This can be a way to make home, but in God's eyes it is not a perfect two-in-one-unit.
Somebody will ask if Bible commands husband and wife must share everythng he/she has. It is true that Bible did not make this command, because God is considerate of people's selfishness. But Bible made this revelation. In Roman 8:32 "He who did not spare his own Son, but gave up for us all-how will not be also, along with him, graciously give us all things ?" Where are the all things from ? In Colossians 1:16 "For by him all things were created:" Now we can see that God gave us His beloved Son Jesus and all things created by Jesus.
When a man and a woman uited before God, these verses can be applied to them. In 1 Corinthians 7:4 "The wife's body does not belong to her alone but also to her husband. In the same way, the husband's body does not belong to him alone but also to his wife." According to Bible teaching, husband and wife should also give all things of his or hers to the spouse." In one simple word to express two-in-one-unit, that is a family of two with shared ownership.
This shared ownership does not only refer to material things, but also the family name. Suppose Miss Lee married to Mr. King. After the wedding ceremony, Miss Lee becomes Mrs. King. Wife takes over husband's family name. It is a matter of course. Never a husband opposes this. It is a glory for husband and also a glory for wife. The King in Mrs. King is the same King in Mr. King, never in small letter like Mrs.king.
Now let us see what will happen physically to them after the shared ownership. Does Mr. King merged with Mrs. King and becomes one body ? i.e. the head is Mr.King's head and the feet are Mrs. King's feet. Or viewing from right side you can see only Mr. King's face and viewing from left side you can only see Mrs. King's face ? Or Mr. King and Mrs. King keep changing ? i.e. in day time it is Mr. King and at night it is Mrs. King. These kind ridiculous questions need no answer.
If people can understand the true meaning of two-in-one-unit on earth, then it is not too difficult to understand Trinity in heaven..
